It started with a Hen… night

So tonight was the Hen Night, well you have already read about the stag night on Disco Dave’s blog, so here it is my turn. I must admit I was a bit nervous of what had been planned, but in the end things were kept pretty tame… well living in Egypt (being a Muslim country) things could not get too carried away could they? Thank God! So, no strippers got involved and there was only a touch of condom blowing (which was actually quite funny.. well spirits were high).
I knew I was being taken out that night, however had not quite expected one of our dive centre buses to appear at my front door full of my mates, all wearing Tshirts bearing the DiveBunnie logo! So… yes if you were out in Sharm this evening (in particular at the Little Buddah Bar)and saw a bunch of unrulie girlies in white “Bunnie’s on Tour” tops I apologise.
Whilst in the Buddah Bar we got the nod from my maid of honour and my other good friend to say that they had finally (after having had to return to Gatwick briefly) landed and were heading to the hotel. So we thought we’d bring the party to them. It was back in the bus and off to T2 for us, where I somehow found myself dancing on the table to Britney Spears (Ooops I did it again!… Literally). Shortly after this the London girlies joined us and having vowed to keep me up beyond midnight, I was one of the last to leave at around 2.30 am! Very good going for such a lightweight as I am.Bunnies on Tour!

DiveBunnie Gets Hitched!!!

So the DiveBunnie is about to be made an honest woman…

Yes fellow instructor here in Sharm George has gone legal and made it official! We have done the embassy bit up in Cairo and have our ceremony with family and friends here on Saturday. The first of many (mummy Bunnie) has already arrived and more are due to turn up this evening with more and more turning up as the week goes on!

To make things easy on myself, I have taken the whole two weeks off, but in all honesty Sharm in August is a very hot place if you are not diving… as I am discovering right now. I can’t wait to get back in the water if only to cool off.

The scary bit is my hen night which is happening on Wednesday (George’s was on Saturday : Disco Dave’s Blog) and the ceremony and party itself is to be Saturday afternoon.

Hijacking on the Web!

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

Ok so after the sad news about Dave the Turtle, I now have the infuriating news about the DiveBunnie web-site. It has been hijacked!!! So please for the time-being do not visit it, otherwise you will just benefit the person who has poached it.

I am in the process of getting it back on line and up and running. But for the time-being it will not be available.

Apologies to those who support us by regularly popping along.

Goodbye Dave

Ah what a sad day.

I arrive back home in Sharm (well that bit’s good) but when I check my emails, I see that our favourite celebrity turtle Dave has lost his battle and died.

He had admittedly been looking quite sluggish the last few times I had seen him and definitely a little skinny around the neck, but let’s face it, turtle neck is the expression often used to describe a skinny old neck.

Anyway, we are not sure exactly why, maybe he just wasn’t eating enough, or maybe a bigger turtle got the better of him. I believe they are looking into it, and I will let you know what they find out.
